Moon by Davide Groppi

An iconic lamp celebrating 20 years of light: Moon, the lamp by Davide Groppi that transforms spaces with its poetic, handcrafted light.

Twenty years ago, Davide Groppi imagined the impossible: bringing the moon into the home. The result was Moon , a pendant lamp that not only illuminates, but also transforms the space and suspends it in a state of contemplation. Designed in 2005, this lamp was born from the desire to capture the atmosphere of the full moon. Its light is soft, enveloping, and silent. Its irregular, suspended shape is effortlessly imposing. It is made layer by layer from hand-applied Japanese paper , making each piece unique. The surface, full of textures and folds, is reminiscent of that of a celestial body.

Moon doesn't respond to the logic of mass production. It's an artisanal gesture that celebrates imperfection as a seal of authenticity, and light as an emotional rather than a functional experience. Therefore, since its inception, it has inhabited homes, restaurants, museums, and spaces where atmosphere matters as much as form.

Davide Groppi's work reflects a vision where light is more than just functionality: it is emotion, atmosphere, and poetry. His designs seek to create experiences that connect with those who inhabit the spaces, inviting them to contemplate and experience light in its purest form.

Moon is just that: a search turned into an object. A decorative lamp that remains relevant because it doesn't depend on trends or eras: only on the power of a well-considered idea.

Moon, with its two-decade history, proves that well-designed light remains relevant. At Interdesign, we trust in its ability to transform spaces with calm, beauty, and quiet sophistication.
