Ghost Armchair

The Ghost armchair is a masterpiece of glass design. Created in 1987 by Cini Boeri and Tomu Katayanagi, this iconic 12 mm-thick curved glass monolith challenges the materiality of traditional furniture, making transparency the centerpiece. Its structure appears to vanish into space, leaving only the silhouette of its occupant.

Forged with Vittorio Livi's technical mastery, the Ghost debuted at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, where it received an award for innovation. Its design represents a perfect synthesis of technological experimentation and formal exploration, placing the user at the center of attention.

His legacy was recognized in 2022 with the Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award, reaffirming his status as a landmark in contemporary design. More than just an armchair, Ghost is a sculpture that inhabits space with subtlety and character.
