Mariolina Chair - Light Blue/Anthracite

Enzo Mari, considered one of the greatest exponents of Italian and international design, a designer of countless objects that have become truly iconic, but also a theorist of the avant-garde, loves archetypal forms and, starting from them, exalts their craftsmanship, their talent, and their forward momentum. Mariolina is no exception.

The image is only apparently that of a small chair from the 1950s, but with a series of additional details, which transforms a humble chair into an intelligent object: this luminous chair is composed of a slim frame combined with a rounded seat and backrest, joined to the frame with a series of molded ribs, the section of the chrome-plated steel tube legs is thinner and more precise and, in addition, the polypropylene seat and backrest are not fixed to the frame through screws or rivets, but through a series of molded plastic ribs that embrace the metal structure on the hidden side of the seat and backrest. The Mariolina chair is characteristic of Enzo Mari with its light and sculptural form.

Mariolina was launched in 2002. The stackable chair is the perfect partner for a dining table or a comfortable extra seat anywhere in the home, and its modern minimalism also adapts easily to public spaces.
