Spun Armchair - Red

The Spun chair, designed by English architect Thomas Heatherwick for Magis, is a dynamic invitation to play and fun. Its design allows it to rotate, roll, and move, making it almost impossible to remain still. Far from a traditional design, Spun challenges the classic chair shape with legs, backrest, and armrests, presenting a perfect symmetry in its rotation that combines comfort and originality.

Made using a rotational molding process in polypropylene, Spun has an elegant texture reminiscent of the grooves of a vinyl record. Its shape, which resembles a sculpture when upright, transforms into an enveloping chair when placed sideways. When seated, the chair begins to rotate, offering a unique and stimulating experience. With its playful approach to design, Spun was awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 2014, becoming an innovative and functional piece, ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
